Today has been and INTERESTING day. My song of the day:
Did you get my message? -Jason Mraz
I pushed the snooze on my alarm (cellphone) three times. Found I only had ten minutes to get to class. And then got there.... early.
I broke down and dropped my Geol-lab. (only one credit. worth too little for the added stress.)
I got a tutoring student. I didn't know I was going to. I still have almost NO CLUE what I'm doing (I have Natural Disasters class during the tutors' class). In other words I have to do a lot of learning as I go. Anyhow things went fine. I hope I didn't scare off the poor girl. That's ok though, becuase I KNEW I was suppose to have a student later today, and that one never showed. Hum bug.
I lost my scriptures yesterday. Don't know when.... or where. I searched. To no avail. So today I hiked up to the MC to look in the lost and found. The sign on the door said something like "Open from 9-7 Mon. to Thurs." So I was like "YAY!" and then, in smaller print at the bottom: "Closed Tuesday 2-6." This was at 5. Yeah......
While on that rout I headed up to the Kimball to turn in my employment papers for the Reading Center. The Accounting Office door said "Please, Come In." The door was locked. I could see workers inside!!!
I got online and found an e-mail from my brother, Tom. He got engaged yesterday. That's TWO SIBLINGS IN LESS THAN ONE WEEK! Wow! His wedding is 7 days after I get home in July. Time to get over jet lag and reenvigorated. Two weddings in one summer! Wow! I'm not going to have one quiet moment!
Last night we had out first FHE. Seven girls, and three boys. And it was a BLAST! We played "Do you love your neighbor" in our tiny, cramped living room. I kinda felt it almost more resembled Leap-Frog at times. :D Everyone participated and everyone had fun. No one was shy or they weren't for long. We know there was suppose to be more people, but oh well.
Well, I'll write s'more latter.
Good night to all, and to all a good night.

That's Amoré!
BONJOURNO!
So I just started the first day of my second week of my second semester at BYU-Idaho. The first week was......
.........long.
But hey, it's like in the seventies right now! Yeah! You read me! (last week it was like in the 30's and it snowed Wednesday. Common! It's almost MAY!!!) It's sunny. It's breezy. My classes are over for the day. And i'm feeling PEACHY!
So I got a call Saturday night. My sister, Amethyst, FINALLY got OFFICIALLY engaged. Mrs. Nathan Harmston (sp?). The date is set for August, and will be in the St. Louis Temple. Yay! MO! Her engagement ring is white gold with a diamond flanked by an emerald and a sapphire. Her wedding colors.... blue, green, and a HINT (ask her. :P ) of purple. So far, in my family:
1. Every married/engaged person has a sapphire ring, and
2. their wedding colors were green and blue.
Me? (well, I'm not engaged yet) but I want something different. I kinda like red and gold and firy colors. Like India wedding things. Je ne sais pas. We'll see. :D
I love swingy/swoony music (Sinatra, Martin, Bublé) and have been listening to that sort of stuff a lot lately. I love "That's Amoré".
"When the moon hits the sky like a big pizza pie, it's amoré!"
p.s. check out the website I made! (it's not MINE, I made it for a company, so they might change it. They can do anything they want to with it. :( Still, I origionally made it. http://www.exploringamerica.com
- Cheers!

Spell Smell Spells! Now, ten times fast!
So I e-mailed this to bunches of people not long ago, but I thought I'd post it anyhoo.
"ok, so i just love learning new, awsome, interesting things, and this week I've come across something great! ok, so yes, i do get a little over excited about knowledge, etc. etc. but honestly, i thought you all would find this fascinating too! OK, my dad is a scientist and he seems to know something about everything, at least a little bit. Well a few days ago we got talking about the sense of smell. Did you know that the sense of smell is the most primary and fundimental of all out senses? our sight, hearing, touch, etc is connected to our brain through all sorts of different nerves, but our sense of smell is DIRECTLY connected. Directly connected to our emotion center actually. This is why the sense of smell is so important to animals. Our bodies give off sents (hormones, oils, sweat, etc.) that communicate to other people's brains. well, ok, so humans have a horrible sense of smell compared to most other animals on the earth, but we still receive these signals often unconciously and SEND them alll the time with out realizing it. Sharks/etc. really can smell fear in you! And before you get engaged, introduce that person to your dog first. Not only are they like personality lie detectors, but they can sense hostility, etc. This doesn't mean you should go out an buy a basset hound, but it's something to think about. Well interestingly enough this phenomonum also explains why women living in the same house hold tend to all start having their menstration cycles at the same time. There are such things as Alpha Females. Even with humans. they give off stronger signals than other females. and in a group of females someone will have stronger signals than others. So when the alpha female starts to menstrate, the other's receive her signals and those signals then sorta signal them to start too. like the geese at the point of the V. the funny thing is ( or not funny) when more than one female with strong signals are in the household, all the weeker females' signals go sorta haywire. caught up in the in and out tide sorta thing. this may also explain why females tend to not get along well under the same roof. especially alpha females. also another interesting thing i discovered is this: We know who we are, we just don't know we know. this idea (connecting to the sense of smell thing) came about when my sister had me put on some of her perfume. it's a kinda perfume that reacts with your body chemicals, so it smells different on every person. She told me that she's put it on friends who smelled musty, flowery, and fruity. same perfume. well in my mind i was kinda thinking "Uck! not fruity! i hope it doesn't smell fruity on me!" And guess what. It didn't. In fact it smelled very much like many of my favorite smells. A little musty. A flowery. Moonflower, airy, and, i dunno... earthy? ok, you get the point. And then on my sister Jo it smells sorta buttery/exoctic/musty. and for those of you who know Jo that's exactly the sort of person she is!!! Those are the sorts of smells she likes! Yeah, our minds and our bodies are definetly connected, and this proves that we are one. One soul, mind and body. We like and are what we like. Animals, like dogs, recognize people because everyone has their own unique smell. People are attracted to other's because the things they see in them that they like, including their "smells" or signals. Which can equally be explained away by liking their personalilty.... they are the same! Or they are connected atleast. Animals live by the sense of smell. They mark their territories. They hunt down food, in the wild, (at least carnivors) by sensing the signals of the fearful, weak, young/old, injured, etc. Female cats go into heat. Mother bird abandon their young when the babies have been touched by humans and have their scent on them. Pigs hunt can find truffles underground by sniffing them out. And humans wear calone and perfumes, use scneted toilettries, and love good food (half of the ability to taste is through smell really). I just think it's interesting, that the sense that most people seem to take for granted or don't care about as much (if you can't see you are blind and thus "disabled", can't hear you're deaf, etc.) is one of the most important senses we have!!! So i guess what i'm saying is don't underestimate your sense of smell.... believe me, it's really pretty sweet!!"

The Saddests of the Faddests (et ce n'est pas moi!)
HEY! Bet you never thought you'd find me here! I'm sorry, for I feel I must apologize. I'm just sad when it comes to fancy looking technology junk/fun stuff. I love beautiful computer ideas, and have a journal where I can write in straight lines (my current "hand held" (aka hand written) one has no lines and I fear for future generations who may try to solve the mysteries of their pasts in my sorry scribblings.). Anywhoo...
I must mention that this is SOMETHING to do and sorta SOMEONE to talk to. (other than school and invisible friends...) (ok ok ok ok, try distanced friends?) (fair?)
This also gives me somewhere to rant and rave and spill my guts out and BE ME! (no, I don't disect myself regularly but if you want to be so literal about it it's not much better than spilling my heart out. Jeez, I'm not even dead yet!) Somewhere that if someone gets offended I can argue "My blog! My thoughts! You don't have to come here!". I promise I will never intentionally offend someone. I will never "rat" on anyone here... spill their darkest secrets (along with everything else I'm aparently spilling). However I will NEVER EVER EVER promise to not have an opinion, thoughts, feelings, ideas, reasonings, or acknowledgments. So for all those broken hearts out there, this is not an empathetic safe haven: you'd be better off with guts. And that's my gut feeling. I learned a cool new word that means that, but I can't remember what it is..... bummer.
Anyway, welcome. Have a seat. Relax. Take off your shoes. Shut your mouth, close your eyes, and listen up, because...... ok. Not happening. Remember? BLOG? Gotta read it. Never mind, don't shut your eyes. Whatever. ("Don't be a gooey chocolate chip cookie!" - Shawn from Psych) Well, whatever you gotta do hang on to your eyebrows because you ain't never read anything like this yet!
P.S. Ok. So that was OVER dramatized. (Do you think that the "ain't" in that last line was a little too much? Too rough, too illiterate?
P.P.S. And before we blast off we all like to encourage each of you to make one final potty break before we leave for planet _______________, never to return to this planet (aka your current mind set) ever again!
P.P.P.S. Yeah, whatever.
